The Biosite Story

At the heart of all Biosite solutions is the collection of quality data, which is transformed into valuable real-time insight to enable more informed decision making.

Innovators in technology for the construction industry. Delivering insight on your jobsite

Biosite was established in 2010 to respond to the challenges of managing a highly transient workforce in construction.

Biosite - a trusted partner for construction

  • The low-quality fingerprints typically found amongst construction workers meant that the accuracy and performance of existing biometric access control systems was limited. So, together with fellow algorithm design expert, Adam Bowen, they designed a unique biometric fingerprint algorithm that was, and still is, 99.99% accurate. Even with low quality fingerprints. This meant workforce data captured on site was accurate and the process effiicient - speed of throughput is < 1 second.

From this solid foundation point, the growing team developed accompanying solutions, from workforce management software and access control hardware, to a temporary wireless fire alarm system - all deveoped in-house - to form The Biosite System that we know today.

  • Today, Biosite is a market leader and trusted solutions provider for construction.

Biosite's powerful combination of software and hardware, performance and reputation was noticed by ASSA ABLOY, the global leader in access solutions and in 2020, Biosite was acquired by the group to join the ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions division. Now, Biosite is on a mission to share the Biosite System and ethos with construction companies across the globe, to optimise safety, security, efficiency and compliance on site.

CrewSight – powering smarter workforce management

CrewSight was born out of a need to bring clarity, control, and compliance to construction sites. Developed specifically for the industry, it combined jobsite access control with a real-time workforce database, transforming how contractors manage safety, security, and productivity. Over time, CrewSight evolved to include mobile apps, handheld scanners, modular turnstiles, and automated reporting tools, all designed to meet the dynamic needs of modern construction.

Now part of the ASSA ABLOY family, CrewSight continues to innovate as a trusted solution for workforce management and site access control across the globe.
