As Product Owner, you will work closely with the Product Managers to solicit Voice of Customer input around user functional and non-functional needs, including the user experience. You will translate this feedback into detailed requirements, epics and user stories in a clear and consistent way that is readily digestible by the R&D team. In addition, you will help the R&D team understand the wider business context and value associated with functions and features they are working on to ensure that the end product delivers the functionality, experience and value required by our customers. You will be the key conduit for answering functionality and user experience queries from the R&D team, representing the Voice of the Customer and validating these assumptions with other stakeholders to ensure what we deliver aligns to market needs. Acting as the bridge between the Product Managers and the R&D team, you will concentrate on maximising the value of the product, whilst maintaining a good balance between what is technically achievable and what is really needed.
This position is fully remote and you can work from any location within UK.
What you would do as our Product Owner?
– Act as Voice of the Customer internally, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to discover and analyse customer needs and shape these into hardware and software requirements.
– Work closely with the Product Managers and the R&D team to translate these into appropriately detailed epics and user stories with clear acceptance criteria and non-functional user experience expectations.
– Proactively manage the Product Backlog to ensure that all Product Backlog items are consistently scoped and sized to enable fair and timely prioritisation.
– Ensure that resulting development plans are visible, transparent and clear to all and that roadmap plans are kept up-to-date to ensure stakeholder expectations can be well managed.
– Acquire and maintain a fundamental working knowledge of how our solutions are used in the real world to ensure features, functions and products are delivered with a consistent, user-friendly user experience.
– Engage with stakeholders during development to demonstrate new functionality, gather feedback and expectations regarding existing, new and future developments.
– Own the acceptance testing of new functionality and achieving sign-off from key stakeholders and customers.
– Be the primary liaison between stakeholders and the R&D team, ensuring buy-in from stakeholders on major decisions, managing concerns and proactively communicating deviations from the plan.
– Work with the R&D team and Product Managers to create practical solutions to issues that help us meet customer expectations with minimal impact on delivery.
– Act as an ambassador for our products and solutions to assist the regions and our distributors with queries, deputising for Product Managers where required.
