Each subcontractor organisation is issued with a web address and login where they can create individual accounts for their own employees.

Each operative working on site will need to fill in a web based induction form that contains the same information as the traditional paper-based system.

Upon completion of the induction form, the operative will be lead to a Health & Safety induction.

The operative will then complete an online Health & Safety test.

Each operative will be issued a certificate with a Biosite ID, which they will need to print and take with them the first time onsite.

By presenting the ID along with fingerprint information the previous training history of the individual will be automatically loaded to the local system for site management to refer to.

Designed and managed at group level, it provides traceability around health and safety inductions and consistent data capture across all sites.

With McLaren Construction Ltd (McLaren) completing around 13,000 construction site inductions for operatives each year they decided to look into improving induction efficiency and compliance, as their manual and paper-driven process was proving unsustainable.
