Wates Innovation Day powered by Biosite technology

Biosite successfully showcased their latest integrated technology solutions on 8th June at Wates Innovation Day.

Prior to the day, Wates personnel enrolled for the event using Biosite’s online pre-enrolment tool and on arrival gained access to the event using their fingerprint. In doing so, they got to experience first hand how Biosite technology streamlines operations for the construction industry.

Prominently on display was Biosite’s Near Miss reporting tool – which enables accidents or potential accidents to be easily recorded and used to produce accurate real time AFR reporting reports later.

Near Miss reporting enables management to identify trends, introduce the right controls and thus prevent serious accidents occurring. It’s as easy as 1,2,3,4…

  • Use fingerprint to begin
  • Chose date, time and location
  • Describe the Near Miss
  • Hit the Submit Button

Also in action was Start Right from Biosite.

To ensure operatives are fully briefed, these simple steps are taken:

  • Prior to commencing work each day, supervisors brief operatives on potential site risks
  • Operatives confirm their attendance at the briefing using their fingerprint on a robust tablet
  • The supervisor closes the successful briefing using their fingerprint.

Li Wang, Managing Director of Biosite Systems, comments: “We were delighted to work closely with Wates to help make their Innovation Day a great success. We thoroughly enjoyed showcasing a selection of our solutions to Wates personnel.
