Alun Baker Joins Us as Non-Executive Chairman

We are pleased to announce that Alun Baker has joined us as the new non-executive Chairman of Biosite.

With over 20 years’ experience in Executive Leadership and Chairman roles in fast growing Technology and Services companies, Alun brings with him a wealth of knowledge and is set to be an invaluable addition to the business. He has previously worked with companies such as Oracle, Tibco Software, Procurian/Accenture, Viewpoint Construction Software and Merrill Corporation.

Alun says, “I’m incredibly excited to be a part of the Biosite team. They have done a fantastic job realising extensive growth in a challenging economic environment, and have established a Alun Baker for webleadership position in access control and security in the Construction Sector.”

Alun was particularly interested in Biosite’s offering of complete solutions into access control and workforce management, security, and health and safety on construction sites. He recognised the quality of the team and the excellent range of products, especially considering the scale of the opportunity in the UK and internationally to continue and even accelerate the already fast growing environment. His vast experience of helping to position companies for growth and supporting them through the different challenges and opportunities associated with this is what makes this new appointment ideal.

Alun continues, “In a world where risk mitigation and securing the health and safety of workers and the public is paramount, construction teams can use Biosite’s products, services and software to not only secure sites from an access control perspective but also to ensure the right people, with appropriate certification and skills, are working on construction projects.

“I look forward to working closely with the team at Biosite and Mobeus Equity Partners to help to guide strategic initiatives to continue this progress. The Construction Sector is being revolutionised with BIM (Building Information Modelling) and Biosite is incredibly well placed to satisfy the thirst for data that the digitisation of the Construction Industry demands.”
